It has been an action packed first day for #worldwellbeingweek! We’ve received hundreds of posts and messages on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn from Hong Kong, Dubai, all over the UK, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales, England, also Eire, the Channel Islands, and the USA – and we’ve enjoyed webinars on Workplace Wellbeing, Self Esteem and Resilience, and Refreshing One’s Body & Soul … AND we were the talk of the town on Inspire Radio, loved it, thank you. Click here to listen again.

Just a few of the charities, employers, schools, colleges, universities, associations, organisations, and health, fitness and wellbeing practitioners supporting the event have included:

Cardiff University, Wessex Archaeology, Wiltshire Careers, the NHS, NHS Southampton City, Care in Mind, Lancashire Adult Learning, Civil Service Apprenticeship Opportunities, Vets Now, Diabetes Training, the TUC’s Union Learn, Scottish charity Health in Mind, Epilepsy Action, Visit Lichfield, Choice Older People, The Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association, Safer Surgery UK, One You Westminster, Wiltshire Council, Swindon Borough Council, Heart of Kent Hospice, Oakgrove School, Kidderminster College, Kingston University, OGS Careers, Paintings in Hospitals, Bristol Food Network, Scottish Eildon Housing, COPE Scotland, Music for Wellbeing, Cafe Direct, Balham WI, and more.

Posts have included many different aspects of wellbeing including an appreciation of nature, support for children returning to school after COVID, support for those on cancer journeys, top tips for mindfulness during lockdown, self care and remembering to make time for YOU, the benefits of dance, singing, reading, aromatherapy, cycling, Tai Chi, walking, owning pets, photography, as well as financial wellbeing, and healthy eating, to name but a few.

There are still many events, podcasts and webinars scheduled in the week ahead. These can be watched live online, and if you missed any, most can be watched again on replay. Almost all are free of charge during World WellBeing Week.

Tomorrow, thanks to Brindleyplace Birmingham, there is a Sleep Hygiene webinar from 11am to 12noon, Yoga from 6pm to 7pm, and don’t forget all of the Thrive UK webinars and the WellBeing World Library – all there for you to enjoy.

Added to this, Box Sized Hugs have a lot planned for this week. Here’s a preview.

And, thanks to SalesForce UK, there’s the amazing opportunity to check in with world renowned Buddhist meditation practitioner and author, Jack Kornfield, each day of World WellBeing Week at 5pm for a 10 minute mediation to remind you of your ‘capacity to be kind and present’. Click here to join.

Can’t wait to see what else Tuesday has in store for us! See you tomorrow.
